We work closely with our clients to understand their brand and who their target market is. Our first step is always to do market research. Second, we focus on the target market; who are they, what similar projects they use, how to stand out, etc. Our third step is to create the story using a variety of visuals and after we are all in agreement the design process begins.
An example is Soul Patch Kombucha, a small batch Kombucha company based in California. The owners knew they wanted a retro, California vibe that wasn't too serious. From there we identified competitors and how we could visually stand out. The result is a fun 70's inspired extravaganza on your eyes and was a whole lot of fun to create.
